Born in India, I immigrated to Augusta, GA with my mom and sister in 1996. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's in Biology and attended Wake Forest School of Medicine for my MD. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at the University of Colorado where I received particularly broad training in all things primary care. We returned to the Southeast to be closer to family and for their help in raising our two children. When I'm not caring for my patients, I'm typically playing with my kids, doing yoga, or cooking a deliciously healthy meal.
I practice evidence-based medicine, which means I consult the most up-to-date research and medical findings to ensure my patients receive the best possible care. My goal is to act as a partner in each person's health journey, informing them and allowing them to make their own decisions. I'm candid with my patients about their health, and they tend to appreciate my honesty and authenticity.
I currently work out of the Emory at Peachtree City office, seeing patients from all over the Atlanta metro area. When a patient can't make the drive or has a medical need that doesn't require an in-person visit, I will schedule them for a Telehealth appointment. I do my best to offer patients flexibility and convenience wherever possible.
Given my broad scope of training, I am experienced in and enjoy seeing patients of all ages and genders, including those who identify as non-binary or LGBTQ+. "Treating the whole person" means I see my patients as more than just what they've brought into the room. I am a true family medicine doc in that many couples and families have established care with me. I also have a particular interest in women's health, offering the full gamut of birth control and hormone-related therapies.
